I´ve seen the 49ers in 1988. 22 years later in 2010 is when I became a true 49er faithful. At the time Alex Smith was running the show and we finish that year 6-10 but the following year was much better at 13-3, Shortly after Smith, Colin Kaepernick picked up the touch taking us to my first Super Bowl experience in 2013. Today I’m still and always will remain a 49er Faithful.
My business partner was born in San Francisco and was a lifelong 49er faithful. He attending many game at Candlestick Park, unfortunately he passed. That year the 49ers announced they were planning to move to the City of Santa Clara. As a Santa Clara resident I had the opportunity to vote yes. When Levi’s Stadium open for business I decided to purchase a pair of SBL's in memory of my partner. The hole 49ers experience grew on me and I became a true 49er faithful attending every home game at Levi’s stadium.
In 1993 I was given a service request in Atherton, CA. When I arrived, I was met by an old man who asked me if I know who he was. I shrugged my shoulders and he said follow me. We walked towards a 6-door detached garage. When he opens the garage door, I was faced with all type of 49ers Pictures, Plagues etc. I thought he was obsessed with the Niners. He gave me a few memorabilia items and directed me to the main house as he left. When I arrived at the shop, I gave the memorabilia items to a co-worker who I knew was a 49ers fan. He asked me if I Knew who he was, I said No. He told me it was Bill Walsh the head coach of the 49ers. At the time it didn’t mean much to me, but every time I tell that story I wish I was faithful then so I could have enjoyed the moment.
